Jay Park Revealed To Be Working On a New K-Pop Boy Group Under A New Label

On January 11, it was revealed that the former CEO of AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC, Jay Park, is now working on building a new label. This is alongside his goal to launch his own K-pop boy group soon.

Aside from that, Jay Park will be acquiring a big investment from Kakao Entertainment during the process of creating his K-pop boy group.

As a response, Kakao Entertainment said that "Jay Park is an artist currently active in various areas including as a singer, a producer, and much more. Kakao Entertainment is seeking to diversify its business in the music distribution market through numerous partnership opportunities, and we are indeed in the process of discussing possibilities for a business partnership with Jay Park. However, the exact details have yet to be confirmed."

Moreover, it has been highlighted that Jay Park is capable of creating a new trend in the K-pop scene with his style, just like JYP with various K-pop groups created under his name.
Jay Park originally debuted as a member of the K-Pop idol group in 2008, 2PM. Speculations are now rising as to what kind of K-pop group Jay Park will produce in the future.

Jay Park Resigns as The CEO of AOMG and H1GHR Music

On December 31, Jay Park posted on his Instagram saying that after much discussion and a long decision-making period, he has decided to resign as the representative of AOMG and H1GHR Music.

Jay Park added, "I think everyone will be very surprised to hear this, but I will continue to act as an advisor to AOMG and H1GHR Music, and I have decided to still have a good relationship like a family member with the companies. I am very grateful to the fans who gave me support, and I hope that you will continue supporting me and AOMG and H1GHR Music in the future."

Jay Park continued, "I am truly grateful that the artists and staff members of AOMG and H1GHR music also believed in me and came to the company I founded and developed it together and made it into a cool company."

He also said that even if he makes jokes a lot every day, it did not affect the professional relationship he had with the artists of the agency. He adds that he is very proud, honored, and valued that he made history together with the company.

Meanwhile, Jay Park founded the hip-hop label AOMG is a hip-hop label in 2013. The artists who currently belong under the company are, Simon Dominic, Gray, Loco, Lee Hi, Code Kunst, Woo Won-Jae, GOT7 Yugyeom, mixed martial artist Jung Chan-Seong, Hoodie, Punchnello, Elo, and Sogeum.
