It's now the second week of January 2022, and a bunch of new songs have been released this past seven days. With several new songs and news released each day, it might be a challenge to keep up to date with our favorite K-Pop stars. With that, here is a rundown of some of the K-Pop tracks and trending news that were released from January 6 to 12.
Comebacks and Debuts
H1-KEY - 'ATHLETIC GIRL'
On January 5, the highly-anticipated girl group H1-KEY finally made their debut with their single album "ATHLETIC GIRL," featuring a title track of the same name.
WJSN CHOCOME - 'Super Yuppers!'
WJSN's (also known as Cosmic Girls) sub-unit WJSN CHOCOME made their comeback with their second single album, "Super Yuppers!" on January 5.
OMEGA X - 'Love Me Like'
Spire Entertainment's rookie boy group OMEGA X also returned with their new mini-album "Love Me Like," with a title track of the same name.
TRENDZ - 'TNT (Truth&Trust)'
Boy group TRENDZ made their debut on January 5 with their album "BLUE SET Chapter 1. TRACKS," and their title track "TNT (Truth&Trust)."
AleXa - 'TATTOO'
Power dancer AleXa returned with another track called "TATTOO" on January 6, just six months after she released her previous album "ReviveR."
Eric Nam - 'Lost On Me'
On January 7, Eric Nam released his second English-language album "There and Back Again," which includes his previous releases ""I Don't Know You Anymore" and "Any Other Way," as well as his new track "Lost On Me."
ENHYPEN - 'Blessed-Cursed'
Top-performing group ENHYPEN treated fans to a repackaged album of their first studio album "DIMENSION: DILEMMA" called "DIMENSION: ANSWER" on January 10. The album his headlined by their track "Blessed-Cursed."

Former DAY6 Jae Under Fire for Derogatory Remark Towards Jamie
Back on January 8, former DAY6 member Jae came under fire for a derogatory remark he said towards colleague and friend, Jamie Park, in a recent stream, where he called his former labelmate a "thot." Following the backlash, Jae held another stream on Twitch to address the issue and apologize to both fans and Jamie for his offensive comment.

EVERGLOW Yiren Takes Hiatus From Group Activities
On January 9, EVERGLOW's label Yuehua Entertainment announced that Chinese member Yiren will be taking a hiatus from group activities from mid-January to end of February to return to China and spend time with her family, as well as pursue an education. With this, EVERGLOW will be promoting as five members for the time being.

Wanna One Reunites to Release 'Beautiful Part 3'
It was announced on January 11 that "Produce 101"-formed boy group, Wanna One, will be reuniting to release the third part of their hit track, "Beautiful," featuring all 11 members of the group. The news came a month after the group reunited for a special performance at the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), in which the song was performed live, minus Lai Kuan Lin.
