BTS Jungkook is the Most Searched Male Idol on YouTube Korea in 2021 + Jimin and V Rank in 2nd and 3rd Place
According to YouTube statistics, from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2021, BTS member Jungkook ranked first as the most searched male idol on YouTube in South Korea. His fellow group members, Jimin and V, ranked in second and third place, respectively. In addition, all the BTS members appeared in the top 30 of the list.
This is most likely due to BTS's successful musical releases this year. On April 1, BTS released "Film Out," the lead single for their Japanese compilation album "BTS, the Best," released on June 16, 2021.

On May 21, 2021, BTS released "Butter." The English single debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, making it BTS's fourth number-one single. In addition, "Butter" earned a Grammy nomination at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards for "Best Pop Duo/Group Performance."
Om July 9, 2021, BTS released "Permission to Dance." This English-language single became BTS's fifth number one on the Billboard Hot 100, making them the group with the most number ones on the chart. Later in September 2021, BTS released their collaboration with Coldplay, "My Universe." The said song also debuted at number one on the Hot 100 chart.

Another reason the BTS members ranked so high was due to their live concerts, "Bang Bang Con 21" and "PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE."

EXO Baekhyun is the Most Searched Non-BTS Member on YouTube Korea in 2021
The highest-ranking non-BTS member on YouTube Korea is EXO member Baekhyun, who placed fourth. This is due to his musical releases this year and his military enlistment.
On January 21, 2021, Baekhyun released "Get You Alone" from his self-titled debut Japanese mini-album. The mini-album was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan.

On March 30, 2021, Baekhyun released his third Korean-language mini-album, "Bambi," with a lead single of the same name. "Bambi" became the most pre-ordered album by a soloist in South Korea with 833,000 copies. Upon release, "Bambi" debuted at the top of the Gaon Album Chart.
On May 6, 2021, Baekhyun enlisted in the military. Due to his absence, fans of the idol have taken to YouTube to look back at his past work, music videos, variety show appearances and more.
