Red Velvet Wendy recently sat down for an interview with Allure Korea, and there she shared what she considers to be the reason why Red Velvet songs are well-received.
Wendy Tells Allure Korea What She Thinks is the Reason Why Red Velvet Songs Receive Love
On Jan. 20, Allure Korea released a preview of the photos taken during the pictorial they had with Red Velvet member Wendy. The female idol will be featured in the magazine's February 2022 issue, which is set for release on the 24th.
In the newly released photos, Wendy boasts a chic look characterized by thick smokey makeup while she wears different outfits in each image.

On Allure Korea's official website, the magazine shared a few Q&A that took place during their interview with Red Velvet Wendy. One of the questions asked is about the reason why Red Velvet songs are loved.
Red Velvet songs are known for having different concepts all the time. The girl group would showcase their "red" side, which involves their bright, bold, and abstract image, as well as their "velvet" side, which represents the elegant and mature look of the quintet.
Wendy responded that even though the vocal colors of the five Red Velvet members are different from each other, they create perfect harmony and add a unique charm to the song. "It seems that the listeners also feel that charm," she added.

Red Velvet Wendy then told Allure Korea that she was happy when the group was promoting "Queendom" as she felt their teamwork. "Queendom" is the quintet's sixth mini-album released in August 2021.
Wendy said that during their comeback promotions for "Queendom," she realized why it's called a team and why she felt the need for having members.
Wendy was also was asked what Red Velvet song made her particularly happy in the recording studio. She replied that among the title tracks, "Psycho" was the best. She explained that she had liked the song ever since she heard its demo version.

Red Velvet Wendy and Seulgi Debut in SM Entertainment's New Project Girl Group GOT the beat
In other news, two Red Velvet members, particularly Seulgi and Wendy, made their debut in SM Entertainment's new project girl group called GOT the beat along with other SM artists such as BoA, Girls' Generation Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, and aespa Winter and Karina.
GOT the beat is the first unit in the company's Girls on Top (GOT)_ project, in which female SM artists will team up to form different sub-units. The seven-member girl group made their anticipated debut stage at SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS @ KWANGY which took place on Jan. 1 this year.

At the concert, GOT the beat performed their first song "Step Back," which debuted on Korean music charts. The track entered at No. 1 on Bugs, No. 25 on Genie and No. 47 on MelOn. It also debuted at No. 7 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart.
