Yubin, a former member of Wonder Girls, recently shared the kind of treatment and salary amount the legendary girl group received when they had scheduled to complete in China.
Yubin Details the Treatment and Salary Given to Wonder Girls When They Have a Schedule in China
On the Jan. 19 episode of SBS' "While You Are Tempted 3," Yubin appeared as a guest and drew attention after sharing how Wonder Girls was treated in China in the past.
During the broadcast, the hosts and Yubin talked about the massive amount of money Chinese actress Fan Bingbing made in China. And, that's when the former Wonder Girls member decided to share her experience promoting in the said country.

Yubin shared that Wonder Girls would promote in China a lot as they were frequently asked to perform there. She revealed the treatment the group received, and it turned out that they were greatly loved.
"Every time we go to China, we received very good treatment. As soon as we got off the plane, they would get their private cars ready. Surprisingly, each member was provided with a van each," Yubin said.
She continued that the Wonder Girls members were given one suite at a hotel each. Regarding their performances in China, Yubin shared that the organizers would set off fireworks every 10 seconds of their songs.

After hearing the female idol's experience, "Around the Table 3," MC Byun Youngsoo asked about Wonder Girls' salary. "Did you get paid more than how much you got paid in Korea?" he asked.
Yubin replied Wonder Girls' salary for their schedules in China would be about 10 times more than what they make in Korea. Her response left all the hosts shocked and impressed at how greatly K-pop idols were treated in the country back then.
During their early debut days, the Wonder Girls members received Chinese lessons before holding several showcases in China. While they didn't debut in the country, they released songs recorded in Chinese, mainly Chinese versions of their Korean hit songs.

Former Wonder Girls Yubin's Latest Solo Comeback with "Perfume"
In other news, Yubin's latest solo comeback took place in January of last year. She has been carrying out solo activities since Wonder Girls' disbandment in 2017. The female idol has even established her own agency, RRR Entertainment, after leaving JYP Entertainment in January 2020.
On Jan. 13, 2021, Yubin dropped her new single "Perfume" alongside its music video. The idol co-wrote the song together with Dr.JO, who also composed it. The two have been working together following the solo debut of the former Wonder Girls member with "Lady."

In "Perfume," Yubin switches between singing, rapping and narrating as she conveys the message about the loneliness of city life.
A day after its release, Yubin's "Perfume" music video surpassed 100,000 views on YouTube. It has more than 745,000 views as of writing.
In South Korea, Yubin's "Perfume" debuted on a few daily charts for Jan. 13. It entered at No. 29 on Bugs, No. 83 on Genie, and No. 118 on MelOn.
