MAMAMOO Wheein Likes a 2PM Member? Female Idol Mentions the Boy Group on 'Cultwo Show'

MAMAMOO Wheein mentioned 2PM during her recent appearance on "Cultwo Show" and that's when she confessed that she likes a member of the boy group.

On the afternoon of Jan. 20, MAMAMOO member Wheein guested on SBS Power FM's "Cultwo Show" along with MOMOLAND. Singer Hwang Chiyeol currently acts as a special DJ of the radio show, together with Kim Taekyun.

During the broadcast, one of the listeners of "Cultwo Show" commented that Wheein's "The Red Sleeve" OST (titled "I Wish") was very good and asked the female idol if she likes 2PM Junho.

"The Red Sleeves" is a South Korean drama starring 2PM member Lee Junho, Lee Seyoung and Kang Hoon. The TV series premiered in November 2021 and ended in January this year.

In response to the listener, MAMAMOO Wheein shared that 2PM was very popular during her school days. She then unveiled that she's a fan of Lee Junho, confessing that she really likes the male artist since she was still a student.

"I was thankful that I had a good opportunity to sing the OST for his drama," Wheein added.

"Cultwo Show" DJ Kim Taekyun commented that 2PM Junho is cool as an actor as well. He continued that his eyes when he's acting are attractive even to male viewers. Upon hearing this, MAMAMOO member Wheein agreed.

After that, Wheein sang "The Red Sleeves" OST "I Wish," captivating the listeners with her soothing vocals.

2PM member Lee Junho is initially only known as one of the best dancers in the group but now, he has emerged as one of the top actors in the Korean entertainment industry. Other than that, he excels in producing and composing songs for himself and the group. With his impressive talent and great personality, it's not a surprise that even other K-pop idols look up to him.

MAMAMOO Wheein Makes Solo Comeback with New Solo Album 'WHEE'

In other news, MAMAMOO member Wheein recently returned to the K-pop scene as a solo artist. She dropped her second solo album "WHEE" on Jan. 16. This is her first music release as an artist under her new agency, The L1ve (which VIXX Ravi founded).

Wheein's "WHEE" contains a total of six songs including the title track "Make Me Happy," which features an up-tempo beat and heavy bass line plus an addicting hook. VIXX Ravi took part in writing the lyrics for the title song and numerous overseas and in-house composers worked on the track.

On the first day of release, "WHEE" sold a total of 28,714 copies. It has surpassed 59,000 copies sold as of Jan. 19.

Concerning its chat performance, MAMAMOO Wheein's "WHEE" debuted at No. 3 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart. It ties with her debut album "Redd" as the idol's highest-charting entry on the tally.

"WHEE" also landed at No. 16 on the European iTunes Album Chart and soared to the top of iTunes Album charts in at least 18 different regions. It becomes her most No. 1s on iTunes, surpassing "Redd" which only recorded 15 No. 1s.
