YG Entertainment Issues Statement Revealing iKON Junhoe and TREASURE Yoshi Tested Positive for COVID-19
On January 25, KST, it was announced by YG Entertainment that iKON member Junhoe (also known as Ju-ne) had tested positive for COVID-19, two days after it was confirmed that fellow iKON members Jinhwan, Donghyuk, and Yunhyeong had come back with positive test results on January 23.
According to YG Entertainment, Junhoe had underwent a PCR test for COVID-19 back on January 22, and received negative test results. However, after experiencing mild sore throat on January 24, he took another test and was confirmed to be positive.
Aside from Junhoe, YG Entertainment revealed that TREASURE member Yoshi also came back positive for COVID-19 and is currently under self-quarantine.
Both Junhoe and Yoshi are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and are currently in good health.
In light of the news of several iKON members testing positive for the virus, YG Entertainment had previously announced on January 23 that the group would be halting their activities and schedules in the meantime.
As of this writing, Bobby and Chanwoo have negative results for COVID-19.

iKON's Koo Junhoe was classified as an additional confirmed case of COVID-19 following fellow members Kim Jinhwan, Song Yunhyeong, and Kim Donghyuk.
Koo Junhoe had tested negative for COVID-19 after a PCR test conducted on January 22. However, two days later on the 24th, he had symptoms of mild sore throat and was re-examined, and he was diagnosed with COVID-19 today (January 25).
TREASURE member Yoshi also tested positive for COVID-19 on the same day, and will be self-isolating and receive treatment at home.
Koo Junhoe and Yoshi are both vaccinated against COVID-19 and are currently in good health.
In response to the previously confirmed cases, we have taken intensive preemptive measures beyond the guidelines of quarantine authorities.
Regardless if they are a close contact or not, we will continue to conduct COVID-19 testing for our artists and related staff, while also completing disinfection of the office.
In the future, we plan to share any changes to the situation quickly, and we will do everything necessary to restore the health of our confirmed artists and prevent the spread of COVID-19."

In other news, iKON's latest release was back in March 2021, with their digital single "Why Why Why."
While TREASURE's first mini-album "The Second Step: Chapter One," is set to be released on February 15 KST. Their Japanese album of the same name will be released a month later on March 23.
