'Jisoo Solo' is Coming! In a fan sign event, the "Snowdrop" star was asked if K-pop enthusiasts shall anticipate for her solo project, hopefully, a solo debut this 2022 – and here's how the BLACKPINK member responded.
On Jan. 25, BLACKPINK gathered for the first time as a quartet for their online fan sign through the platform, Weverse. During the event, Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa and Rosé respectively hinted at their solo and group activities and schedules, drawing attention from K-pop fans, particularly BLINKs (BLACKPINK fandom).

On the same day, BLACKPINK Jisoo, communicated with her fans and talked about her much-awaited solo. During the fan sign, a fan took the courage and asked the female star, "Can I look forward to Chu (Jisoo) Solo this year?"
"Oh, of course!" the "Ice Cream" singer didn't even hesitate to answer, giving the fan a teasing smile. When BLINK further asked the idol if rapper Jisoo is possible, she shocked many for talking about concerts.
"Rap? I will rap, I will at the concert encore."
As a result, BLINKS expressed their excitement and delight through social media as Jisoo officially confirmed her solo debut. On Twitter, the keywords "JISOO SOLO THIS YEAR" dominated real-time searches, proving that numerous fans are waiting for her for a long time.
In particular, Jisoo is the only member among the quartet who has have yet to debut as a soloist. In 2018, Jennie is the first one to debut with her single, "SOLO." During the fan sign, she also hinted at her solo project this year.
Rosé and Lisa then debuted in 2021, raising their status as top-tier solo artists following reign on numerous music charts and album charts.
Meanwhile, Jisoo is currently active as an actress, who received praises for her impressive performance as Young Ro in JTBC's drama, "Snowdrop" co-starring with Jung Hae In.
Due to her acting, Jisoo received her first award as an actress at the 2nd DDU Awards in Thailand. The actress secured her "Best New Actress" trophy for her promising acting in the aforementioned drama.

On the night of January 25, Jisoo also commemorated the event by posting an all-member photo on her Instagram.
In the photo, Jenny, Rosé, Jisoo, and Lisa gathered in one place and made fans happy. In particular, they attracted attention as they boast goddess-like visuals that could not be judged superior or inferior. In addition, Jisoo showed off her fresh and lively charm by posting her selfie.
On the other hand, in a live broadcast, the four-member group unveiled that they are also preparing for a BLACKPINK comeback after more than a year and fans were focused if what kind of new blend and trend the members are about to flaunt this year.
