THE BOYZ Younghoon Tests Positive for COVID-19
On January 26, IST Entertainment, the management company of THE BOYZ, announced through the official fan cafe that Younghoon had tested positive for COVID-19.
On January 24, THE BOYZ members underwent a PCR test and the results came out the next day. All the members, except Eric, tested negative and they all went in voluntary self-quarantine.
The 10 members, who tested negative, underwent another PCR test on January 25 and Younghoon's result came out positive.
After the news regarding Younghoon's condition came out, the other members of THE BOYZ and the staff underwent a COVID-19 PCR test in consideration of the virus incubation period.
Due to this, THE BOYZ's activities have been canceled for the time being until Younghoon and Eric recover from the infection. This also means the group will sit out of the 11th Gaon Chart Music Awards on January 27.
THE BOYZ Takes 'Bonsang' Award at the 31st Seoul Music Awards
THE BOYZ won Bonsang at the 31st Seoul Music Awards, held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on January 23 at 6 PM (KST).
The members walked the red carpet before the awards ceremony and showed off their visuals with a chic black suit.
That same night, THE BOYZ performed their hit songs "MAVERICK" and "Russian Roulette" from their 3rd single album.
THE BOYZ Holds Online Fan Meeting 'THE BOYZ NEW YEAR PARTY 2022'
On the other hand, THE BOYZ held the official fan club "THE B JAPAN" online fan meeting "THE BOYZ NEW YEAR PARTY 2022" on January 15 and announced their activities in Japan in the first half of the year.
THE BOYZ online fan meeting was held in a cozy hideout atmosphere, giving fans more excitement.
In particular, as can be seen from the fan meeting title, "THE BOYZ NEW YEAR PARTY 2022" the group was accompanied by Japanese fans to recharge each other's happy energy and spend the year well through a New Year's party.
At the fan meeting, THE BOYZ prepared various corners such as finding out the fortunes of the year and playing games by team.
Aside from that, special communication was made by showing the members' various and attractive aspects through the "Catch the Tiger" game.

In addition, to commemorate Jooyeon's birthday on the day of the fan meeting, fans held a birthday party with THE BOYZ and made lots of memories such as blowing candles on cakes.
Meanwhile, THE BOYZ has been holding special pop-up events, such as displaying the costumes for their 3rd single "MAVERICK" and giving handwritten messages at Marui department stores in three cities in Japan since December last year.
These events are supposed to continue until February 7. However, since THE BOYZ members Eric and Younghoon both tested positive for COVID-19, the group's activities were postponed for the meantime until the members recover.
