Chinese Jennie Bars and support groups have decided to stop supporting BLACKPINK activities indefinitely. Keep on reading to learn why.
Chinese Jennie Bars To Stop Supporting BLACKPINK Activities
On January 25, BLACKPINK had their first OT4 activity with an online fan sign through Weverse. After that, the girls all reunited for a full-group live stream through Naver's V Live. As it was BLACKPINK's first time together since their anniversary live stream in August 2021, this activity was thought to appease the anger of BLINKs, who have been demanding a statement concerning the girl group's activities.
While many were happy to see BLACKPINK together, Chinese supporters of Jennie were less than thrilled.

In the morning of January 26, Jennie Bar — Jennie's biggest support group in China — and other medium and smaller support groups such as Baby Blue, Jennie Data Team and Jennie Protection Team all announced that they would be supporting BLACKPINK's activities. They state that they will do this until YG Entertainment gives specific details concerning Jennie's solo activities.
Their whole statement reads,
From 2019 until now, YG Entertainment has never arranged individual activities for Jennie. This includes variety show appearances, individual stages, collaborations with other artists and more. In the end-of-the-year plans of the company, Jennie was the only member not mentioned.
As an active female idol, Jennie has the strength to go on stage and the ability to compose good lyrics, but it is only her who does not have a clear plan and is left out in the group. This long period of inactivity has made it impossible for us to withstand this unfair treatment. Therefore, we have decided to support the group's activities until Jennie is treated fairly.
"SOLO" in 2018 was highly successful, but Jennie has only released that one song and has no other plans for the future. When Jennie was attacked with false rumors, YG Entertainment did not make any statement to defend her. We strongly urge the company to respond to these incidents and plan Jennie's future activities and invest in her more!

BLACKPINK Jennie Reveals the Group is Preparing for a Comeback + Hints at Solo Comeback
The anger from Chinese fans comes after Jennie revealed BLACKPINK would be making a group comeback first before her solo comeback. During the fan sign, a fan had asked Jennie when she would be making a comeback. The female idol replied that BLACKPINK is currently working on new music, so her solo comeback might come after.
Due to Jennie's ambiguous details for her solo music, many were enraged that there were no concrete plans for the idol's return as a soloist. Since Jennie's only release was her solo debut in 2018, people are demanding YG Entertainment invest in her more and allow her to release her music.
