Rapper Kisum Reveals She Used To Borrow Sanitary Napkins When She Was in High School

Kisum Had to Borrow Sanitary Napkins From Fellow Peers Due to Financial Difficulties in the Past

On January 27, former "Unpretty Rapstar" contestant Kisum appeared in a video on Youtube channel "Recent Situation Olympics."

In her appearance, Kisum talked about having recently donated sanitary napkins to charity and explained the reason as to why she did so, ultimately revealing the difficulties she faced in the past.

She revealed then when she was younger, her family circumstances was in a very difficult place, and that sanitary napkins were very expensive.

"When I was younger, my family circumstances were very difficult. But sanitary pads are very expensive. Back when I was in high school, I had to go borrow sanitary napkins because I didn't have the money to buy them. I barely held out like that," Kisum explained.

She then adds that because of her experience, she knows how valuable sanitary napkins are.

"Because of that experience that I knew sanitary napkins were expensive, and I know that they are indispensable items. So I thought, 'I have to donate them when I become an adult,'" the rapper adds.

However, Kisum adds that the timing of her donation had been delayed too much, as she had to spend all of the money she earned from her albums and broadcasting activities for her father's surgery.

Kisum Reveals She Barely Has Money Now Due to Decreased Income

She continued to explain, "My father didn't have a good liver, so my mother gave hers to be able to do a liver transplant. I didn't spend any money on myself except for food and saved everything. But thanks to this, my family was able to have the surgery and lived."

Kisum then confesses to having almost no money right now, especially due to the pandemic. "I have almost no money now. I have also tried stocks, but the market isn't doing good right now. There aren't a lot of events nowadays, so my income has decreased a lot. But still, people around me support me a lot," Kisum shares.

Meanwhile, Kisum made her debut back in 2013 with her single "First Love." She gained recognition after competing on the Mnet's survival program "Unpretty Rapstar" back in 2015, where she reached until the semi-finals.
