Is BTS Now the Most Awarded Artist in Gaon Chart Music Charts History with Their 8 Additional Wins?
On Jan. 27, the 11th Gaon Chart Music Awards was held at the Jamsil Arena, with NCT Doyoung, STAYC Sieun and JaeJae as the event hosts.
During the event, BTS won in several categories. First, the group was one of the artists who received digital music and physical album awards.

In particular, BTS' "Butter" and "Permission to Dance" were named Artist of the Year (Digital) in May and July, respectively. Their collab track "My Universe" with Coldplay claimed the digital music award for September. "Butter" was also the winner of Artist of the Year (Physical) for the third quarter.
Apart from the Artist of the Year, BTS also earned the Retail Album of the Year for "Butter," Music Steady Seller of the Year with "Dynamite," Social Hot Star of the Year, and Mubeat Global Choice Awards.
Overall, BTS had eight awards at the 11th Gaon Chart Music Awards. This makes them the most-awarded artist of the night. They are followed by IU, who claimed five total trophies.

Taking into account their accolades at the awards ceremony in the previous years, BTS now has a total of 27 wins. So, with that, BTS has become the most-awarded artist in the history of the Gaon Chart Music Awards. They have surpassed EXO with 16 total awards to date.
When it comes to the list of artists with the most Artist of the Year (Physical), BTS ranks second with nine trophies, bested by EXO with 10. Meanwhile, the septet ranks fourth on the list of acts with the most Artist of the Year (Digital) with six trophies so far.

BTS Steadily Dominates Gaon Social Chart + Enters Other Weekly Gaon Charts
On Jan. 27, Gaon Chart released the chart rankings of songs and albums for the week of Jan. 16 to 22.
On the Gaon Social Chart, BTS stayed strong at No. 1. This chart ranks the most popular South Korean musical artists based on the data gathered from different digital platforms like MyCelebs, Mubeat, TikTok and YouTube. So, with BTS reigning in the first place, it only shows their big impact on all platforms.

On the Gaon Album Chart, BTS has a total of 12 entries: "Love Yourself: Her" at No. 18 and "Love Yourself: Tear" at No. 20, "Butter" at No. 25, "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7" at No. 35, among others.
BTS has seven entries on the Gaon Streaming Chart, one of which is "Spring Day" at No. 86; it is their highest-charting song this week.
The septet also has seven entries on the Gaon Download Chart, and "Spring Day" is again the highest-ranking song among them, being at No. 89.
