#MARK_Child: NCT Mark to Drop First Solo Song "Child" as First Part of SM STATION's "NCT LAB"
On Jan. 28, SM Entertainment announced its 2022 project "NCT LAB" as a part of SM STATION, the agency's digital music brand. This new project will serve as an archive that will contain solo songs, unit songs, self-composed tracks, and more by several NCT members. All of the upcoming releases will be outside the group's fixed albums.
To begin "NCT LAB," NCT Mark will drop his first solo song "Child," which is scheduled for release in February. The song is described as an emotional hip-hop genre track with a unique bass synth and electric guitar sound.

NCT Mark took part in writing the lyrics and composing the track. The "Child" lyrics convey honest thoughts about oneself that are enough to evoke sympathy.
This is not the first time Mark has directly worked on a song. Since his debut as an NCT 127 member in 2016, he has been participating in numerous NCT songs (both Korean and Japanese) including "Sticker," "Universe (Let's Play Ball)," "We Go Up," "Beautiful," "Come Back," "Boss," among others.

As an NCT member, Mark garnered global popularity with his impeccable rap skills, captivating vocals, and powerful performances on every comeback. His skills in writing and composing songs then added more charm to the idol.
With his impressive musical ability, expectations are high for the new image NCT Mark will show through his first solo song "Child."
NCT Mark's "Child" will drop as the first part of SM STATION's "NCT LAB" on Feb. 4 at 6 p.m. KST on various music sites in South Korea and international countries.

About NCT Mark
Mark Lee, known professionally as Mark, is a rapper, dancer, and vocalist of the South Korean boy group NCT. He is also part of NCT's fixed sub-units NCT 127 and NCT Dream, where he also acts as the leader. He is also a member of the supergroup SuperM.
NCT Mark became a trainee under SM Entertainment after passing the SM Global Audition in Vancouver, Canada, where he grew up after moving from Toronto.
In December 2013, Mark was revealed as a new member of SM Rookies, SM Entertainment's pre-debut team consisting of the label's trainees. In April 2016, he was confirmed to debut as a member of NCT's first sub-group NCT U, along with other four members of SM Rookies - Ten, Doyoung, Taeyong and Jaehyun.

Mark Lee officially debuted as an NCT U member in April 2016. After three months, he debuted in NCT's second sub-unit NCT 127. One month later, he became a member of the group's third sub-unit NCT Dream.
In December 2018, he was the first NCT Dream member to graduate from the subgroup. But, he was added back in April 2020 after SM Entertainment decided to abolish the age-based graduation concept set for the unit.
In October 2019, NCT Mark debuted as a member of SM's "K-pop supergroup" SuperM.
