April's Disbandment after Seven Years
On January 28, DSP Media announced that after a long discussion with April, they had decided to disband the group and go their separate ways.
"The agency and members decided that after many discussions, it would be best for the group to go on its separate ways," DSP Media said in a statement.
"Please support the six members in their new paths. Thank you again for cheering and supporting April for the past six years." the management added.
This news came two days after RBW, MAMAMOO's management agency officially took over DSP Media.
Moreover, April was embroiled in allegations of bullying Hyunjoo, who was a member last year, leading to her resignation. Members Chaewon, Naeun, Yena, Jinsol, and former member Somin were identified as the perpetrators of the bullying.

The bullying accusations were raised by someone claiming to be Hyunjoo's brother. The accuser wrote an online post in early 2021 claiming that the other members had bullied her and that this was what made her leave the group in 2016.
The police said that it is true that Hyunjoo had a hard time because of the bullying in the group, and that there were incidents like a soybean soup was put in Hyunjoo's tumbler, and some members stole Hyunjoo's shoes during April's activities.
At that time, DSP Media denied the allegations and threatened to take legal action against the one who claims they are one of Lee's family member and uploads posts on online communities.
