ENHYPEN's stylists draw flak due to Jake's necklace during the group's "Inkigayo" stage. Keep on reading for all the details.
ENHYPEN Stylists Slammed for Letting Jake Wear THIS During 'Inkigayo' Stage
On January 30, 2022, ENGENEs took to social media to demand a statement from BELIFT LAB following a necklace ENHYPEN's Jake was seen wearing for the group's "Inkigayo" performance.
Jake was seen wearing a silver necklace with a round, bejeweled charm during the performance. Upon closer inspection, it was discovered that "Allah" was engraved on the necklace. This caused a backlash against the group's management and stylists, with people calling them out for making the Islam religion an aesthetic.

Jake is not the first idol to be seen wearing this necklace. Following the backlash against ENHYPEN's stylists, it was discovered that NCT member Ten wore a gold version of the necklace for NCT U's "90's Love" music video.
People state that it was the stylists' job to research the item properly, especially since it has words in a foreign language. Out of respect for their international fans, the company should have done their due diligence instead of letting the members wear random articles of clothing and jewelry to suit a concept.
While some are also upset at Jake for wearing the necklace, most people defend the male idol. They state he had no choice but to wear the necklace since the stylists chose all their outfits. However, some believe he also should have looked into the meaning of the necklace. Despite that, many are choosing to give the benefit of the doubt and not assume the worst.

With that, people are demanding an apology from BELIFT LAB and ENHYPEN's stylists. Others are also demanding an apology from Jake, as he participated in the religious appropriation in one way or the other. Many are also taking this as an opportunity to educate people on Islam and why it is wrong to wear clothing featuring their God's name.
What do you think of the issue? Should Jake apologize? Tell us in the comments below!
