BamBam's "Slow Mo" is the Best K-pop Song in January 2022 Based on 'Idol Pick' Fan Votes
On Jan. 31, Idol Pick revealed the final results of its poll titled "The Best Music of January." The voting took place for a week from Jan. 24 to 30. The winner will receive a prize for a promotional video.
The list of nominees included new tracks by both soloists and groups like GOT7 BamBam, ENHYPEN, Girls' Generation Taeyeon, fromis_9, DRIPPIN, Kep1er and more.

In the end, BamBam's "Slow Mo" claimed the title of the "best K-pop song in January" after gaining a total of 11,618 fan votes. Notably, it is the only candidate to surpass 10,000 votes.
As the GOT7 member's prize, Idol Pick will hold an event to show the promotional video for BamBam's "Slow Mo" on a large outdoor billboard in Myeong-dong, Seoul. The video will be displayed for seven days from Feb. 9 to 15.
Composed and written by Pink Sweat$, "Slow Mo" is the title track of BamBam's second mini-album "B," which was released on Jan. 18. It is a love song about two people developing feelings for one another. It contains romantic lyrics that make it a perfect single to listen to on Valentine's Day.

Following its release, BamBam's "Slow Mo" topped Genie's real-time chart, as well as iTunes Songs charts in many countries around the world including Israel, Thailand, Argentina, Ecuador, Guatemala, Kenya, Paraguay, and more.
"Slow Mo" also entered the Top 10 of iTunes Songs charts in the United States, Italy, New Zealand, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, Singapore and Colombia.
With its commercial success, it's no wonder why BamBam's new song "Slow Mo" was chosen as the best K-pop song this January.
VICTON, ENHYPEN, Yuju and More Included in List of Best K-pop Songs in January 2022
Taking the second spot on the list is VICTON's "Chronograph" with 7,482 total votes. Released on Jan. 18, the song serves as the title track of the boy group's new single album also called "Chronograph."
"Chronograph" is a song containing rich synth brass and rhythmical guitar sounds. VICTON member Hanse took part in the songwriting.

ENHYPEN's "Blessed-Cursed" ranked third on the list with 2,722 votes. The hip hop track arrived on Jan. 10 as the title song of the boy band's repackaged album "DIMENSION: ANSWER." Featuring elements of hip hop and '70s hard rock, "Blessed-Cursed" is about thinking that someone is blessed but they later realized he/she is cursed.
Yuju's solo debut song "Play" made the Top 5, claiming No. 4 with 275 votes. Another solo song inside the top 5 is MAMAMOO Moonbyul's "LUNATIC," which ranked fifth with 232 votes.
