APRIL Announces Disbandment After Seven Years
Previously, DSP Media announced APRIL had disbanded on January 28. They released a statement, saying that after lengthy discussions between the APRIL members and the company, both sides decided it would be better to disband.
Though DSP Media did not explicitly state the members left the agency, they did say the members would go their separate ways.
DSP Media asked fans to continue to support the six members as they enter a new chapter in their career. The company also thanked those who have cheered APRIL on over the past six years.

On that same day, Chaekyung, Jisol, Yena, Naeun and Chaewon shared handwritten messages to fans, thanking them for their support and reiterating the news that APRIL was disbanding.

In Yena's letter, she states that they did not disband due to the controversy they are facing and stresses that their disbandment is not an admission of guilt. The members maintain their stance that they are not guilty after former member Hyunjoo accused the members of APRIL of bullying her during her time in the group.
Former APRIL Hyunjoo Flooded With Malicious Comments
Following the announcement that APRIL was disbanding, several angry internet users took to social media to flood the former idol with hate messages. People accused Hyunjoo of ruining the lives of the members of APRIL and demanded that she explain the bullying allegations once more.

People also asked if she was finally satisfied and happy that APRIL disbanded. Others commented that they believe all the members of APRIL are innocent and that Hyunjoo is the instigator of the rumors. Some hashtags, such as #we_trust_you_lee_naeun, were also commented underneath Hyunjoo's comment section.
Hyunjoo has not responded to the hate comments.

Back in February 2021, Hyunjoo's brother accused the APRIL members of bullying his sister. He stated that she was bullied to the point of self-harm and suicidal thoughts. He claimed Hyunjoo also developed panic disorder due to the bullying and that she left the group in 2016 because of that.
DSP Media has denied these claims. However, two months after the allegations, Hyunjoo confirmed she had been bullied by the APRIL members since 2014 and was the victim of violence, mockery, swearing and harsh comments. The APRIL members denied these claims vehemently, stating they never bullied Hyunjoo and that they were the actual victims.
