Amid the rise of non-Korean K-pop idols in the music industry, DR Music, the agency of BLACKSWAN announced last year that they will hold a global audition in search of the girl group's new fifth member, after Hyeme left the spot in November 2020.

In January 2022 then, the agency introduced two candidates, which include the aspiring Indian K-pop idol and a Brazilian trainee, Gabriela Dalcin. In response, K-pop fans showed curiosity regarding the trainees, who are both one step away from becoming K-pop idols.

According to various sources, Lenka is an Odissi classical dancer, singer and yoga practitioner prior to joining the audition online. To prepare, the 18-year-old trainee got vocal training and learned Korean before flying to Korea.

On DRMusic official Instagram, the promotional photos of Lenka and Dalcin were posted. The Indian trainee immediately gained praises for her visual and proportion, as well as her beautiful complexion. It was said that the idol trainee warn a 03-liner with a tall height of 170 cm.

Meanwhile, Gabriela Dalcin also received attention as she was already popular prior to her official introduction as a K-pop trainee. She's known as a dance cover artist and member of the dance cover girl group, Queens of Revolution. If she will pass the final round, she will join BLACKSWAN Leia as the second Brazilian K-pop idol.
