JYP Entertainment, DAY6 Jae End Working Relationship

On Jan. 2, JYP Entertainment announced that Jae has decided to quit DAY6 and the management. The decision was finalized on Dec. 31 and his contract was also terminated.

In their statement, the management said that they will continue to support Jae even if he's no longer under their care.

Jae also announced his departure from DAY6 on the same day. He took the opportunity to thank his fans for their love and support throughout the years.

According to multiple sources, DAY6 has been on a hiatus for years. They have not also been consistent when it comes to releasing music. Some of the other members cited their mental health struggles as their reason for taking a break from the industry.

Even if this is the case, DAY6 has not officially disbanded. The Kpop group still includes Wonpil, Sungjin, Junhyeok, Young K, and Dowoon.

Some of the band's most famous songs include "You Were Beautiful," "Time of Our Life," "Congratulations," "Shoot Me," and more.
