Amid the discussion about soccer and the World Cup, many Chinese internet users started to call out Luhan, a former member of EXO and a popular idol and actor.
Why? Because the male idol is known for his impressive soccer skills and is often called the "King of Soccer" among Chinese stars. One of his individual talents is playing soccer, and, as a child, his dream was to be a famous soccer play. He even has a favorite team and player — Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo. As a member of EXO, he was often seen playing soccer with Xiumin at their dorms.
Many are saying that Luhan should be put on the national team due to his exceptional abilities. Others joked that if Luhan were on the team, people would be too afraid to kick the ball towards him due to how handsome he is. Soccer players online commented that when they watch him on variety shows, they can see his impressive skills and that some Chinese national team members are not up to par with Luhan.

On October 10, 2014, Luhan filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment to terminate his contract. In his case, he cited health problems and claimed he was treated differently than EXO's Korean members. SM filed a countersuit, claiming they violated their exclusive contracts and partook in illegal promotions in China.
On July 21, 2016, contractual disputes between Luhan and SM Entertainment were settled. He will maintain his contract with SM Entertainment, and the label will be in charge of activities in South Korea and Japan. Meanwhile, LuHan Studio is in charge of his activities in China.
