TWICE is the #1 Most Streamed K-pop Girl Group on Spotify in January 2022
TWICE was the most-streamed K-pop girl group on Spotify in January. The nine-piece girl group accumulated a total of 163.8 million streams.
On the overall list - including international female groups like Little Mix and Fifth Harmony - the JYP girl group also ranked first.

This is the fourth month in a row that TWICE recorded the highest number of monthly streams on Spotify among girl groups globally. Compared to the number of streams they gained in January 2021, TWICE's streams last month are nearly 40,000 streams higher.
On Jan. 21, TWICE became the first girl group this 2022 to garner 100 million streams on Spotify. They achieved the mark in only 19 days.
Seven days later, TWICE's "FANCY YOU" became the group's second album to accumulate more than 350 million streams on the music streaming platform.

On Jan. 29, TWICE's "Formula of Love: O+T=<3" exceeded 250 million streams on Spotify, becoming the group's eighth album to attain the milestone. It is also the group's fastest album to reach the mark, doing so in only 77 days.
Then, on Jan. 30, the number of streams for TWICE's Japanese album "Perfect World" crossed 150 million. The album took only 185 days to score the feat, breaking the nonet's previous record of 975 days set by their 2018 Japanese album "BDZ."
These are just some of the JYP girl group's newest milestones on Spotify. With these latest feats, it's no wonder TWICE became the most-streamed K-pop girl group in January 2022.

BLACKPINK was the second most-streamed K-pop girl group on Spotify in January after gaining a total of 142 million streams. They were also the girl group with the second-highest number of streams in the world last month.
On Jan. 24, BLACKPINK amassed more than 100 million streams on Spotify, becoming the second Korean female group after TWICE to do so.
In the first week of January, BLACKPINK's "How You Like That" surpassed 560 million streams, while "Stay" crossed 125 million streams on the music streaming app.

On Jan. 13, "Don't Know What to Do" reached 180 million streams. Then, on Jan. 17, the quartet's "Lovesick Girls" reached 300 million streams, becoming their eighth song to achieve it - the most for any girl group.
"Pretty Savage" attained 225 million streams on Jan. 22, while the group's collab song "Ice Cream" with Selena Gomez exceeded 390 million streams on the 23rd.
For the week ending on Jan. 27, BLACKPINK's "THE ALBUM" was the most-streamed album by a female group on Spotify. It accumulated a total of 1,775,383 streams. Notably, it recorded the highest daily streams from the 21st to the 27th.
With their latest achievements on Spotify, it's not a surprise that BLACKPINK became the second most-streamed K-pop girl group in January 2022.
TWICE and BLACKPINK are two of the only four K-pop groups to achieve 100 million total streams on Spotify this 2022 to date, along with BTS and Stray Kids.
