"Butter" first entered the weekly Oricon chart in May 2021 shortly after its release. The track has since been garnering thousands of aggregated points.
With the additional 24,862 points, BTS' "Butter" has now reached a total of 2,033,724 points on the Oricon Total Single chart. It becomes the group's second song to achieve a cumulative two million points, following "Dynamite," which achieved the feat on Jan. 10.
Additionally, "Butter" becomes the fifth song by any artist in history to exceed two million points on the Oricon Single Chart. The only other tracks to attain this besides "Dynamite" are YOASOBI's "The Home Take," Official髭男dism's "Pretender" and NiziU's "Step and a step."

With "Dynamite" and "Butter" accumulating two million points on the Oricon Total Single chart, BTS has become the first artist in history to have two songs reaching the mark.
What's more impressive about this achievement is that BTS had no official "Butter" promotions in Japan, plus the song was sung entirely in English, yet the tune garnered two million points.
Considering that even Japanese artists are taking a long time to reach two million points on the Oricon Single chart, this only shows the impeccable popularity of BTS in the country.
