During the broadcast, the "Water Color" singer talked about the biggest factors that convinced her to finally depart from RBW Company after being with them since her debut in 2014.
"I've been in the entire company (RBW) for more than 10 years since I was a trainee. I needed stimulation in a new and refreshing environment. That was the biggest reason," the female singer briefly explained.
In particular, in June last year, Wheein decided not to renew her contract with RBW following its expiration. While fans worry about what will happen to the group, the two parties clarified that the star will remain as a MAMAMOO member, and will actively join their group activities including comebacks and concerts until 2023.
MAMAMOO Wheein Opens Up on Choosing VIXX Ravi's THE L1VE as New Label, Praises their CEO
Meanwhile, following departure from RBW, Wheein officially confirmed in August 2021 that she found THE L1VE Label as her new nest. The newly established company was founded by CEO Ravi, a member of boy group VIXX.
Six months after her transfer, Wheein shared her current status in the new label, praising Ravi on how he handles artists.
"(President) Ravi is comfortable to be with as if I had known him for a long time. He is a very caring person. He even carefully decides what people usually think such as 'Would they have cared about this?' Ravi directs the font and color of the album in detail as well, even the location," the MAMAMOO singer showed off their CEO.
"But he's not stubborn. Fortunately, it fits me well in that regard. Even if his opinion is buried, he gives up neatly," Wheein added, highlighting that Ravi is truly considerate of both details and feelings of its artists.
On the other hand, the female singer also conveyed his solo plans this year. In the show, Wheein expressed that she plans to work harder and create a place where she can meet her fans. In particular, she started her full-fledged activities in 2022 with her first solo mini-album in THE L1VE with "WHEE" and its title track, "Make Me Happy" released in January.
