THE BOYZ's Agency, IST Entertainment, Set To Launch New Boy Group
On February 7, IST Entertainment announced that they are preparing to launch a new boy group debut in the first half of this year.
In particular, Kakao Entertainment and Japan's Sony Music Solutions are known to have jointly invested in the new boy group, and a large-scale debut promotion is expected.
Meanwhile, IST Entertainment manages the K-Pop acts Apink, THE BOYZ, Victon, and Weeekly.
THE BOYZ Members Gets Infected of COVID-19
On January 27, IST Entertainment announced that THE BOYZ member Hyunjae was confirmed to be positive for COVID-19 during the additional PCR test done last January 26.
Before that, on January 24, IST Entertainment announced that THE BOYZ Eric was confirmed to have COVID-19. Eric had completed his third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on January 20. However, after meeting an acquaintance that was also infected with the virus, Eric underwent a PCR Test which confirms that he is positive for COVID-19.
Later, on January 26, IST Entertainment announced the news of Younghoon's COVID-19 infection. At that time, the agency explained that on the morning of January 25, all 10 members and staff except Eric received the final negative test. Younghoon was preemptively tested for PCR during voluntary self-quarantine, and on the morning of the 26th, he was notified of the final diagnosis.
THE BOYZ Eric, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juhaknyeon, and Sangyeon Gets Out Of Self-Quarantine
THE BOYZ members Eric, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juhaknyeon, and Sangyeon's quarantine for COVID-19 has been lifted.
On February 6, IST Entertainment, their agency, announced that the mentioned THE BOYZ members' COVID-19 self-quarantine period has been completed. The agency announced this through the official fan cafe of THE BOYZ.
The management company said, "We would like to inform you that THE BOYZ members Eric, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juhaknyeon, and Sangyeon, who was diagnosed with COVID-19 in January, have all been lifted from the quarantine period ordered by the health authorities at noon on February 6."

The agency continued, "After the quarantine period is lifted, the members will take a break and continue to check their health and safety."
Earlier, THE BOYZ members' COVID-19 infection started with member Eric's positive confirmation last January 25. Then, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Joo Hakyeon, and Sangyeon were all diagnosed with COVID-19, they were also quarantined and focused on treatment.
Except for the members mentioned, all of the remaining THE BOYZ members and staff tested negative, and they took necessary measures according to the guidelines of the quarantine authorities who received the confirmed diagnosis.
