BTS' 'MAP OF THE SOUL: 7' Enters Billboard 200 Once Again
BTS re-entered the Billboard 200 with their 4th full-length album "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7."
According to the latest chart released by Billboard, on February 8, BTS' 4th regular album "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7," released in February 2020, re-entered the album chart Billboard 200 and ranked no.184.
The album went straight to number one on the "Billboard 200" right after its release and stayed on the chart for 82 weeks in a row. It has been showing off its potential to steadily enter the charts until now, more than two years after its release.
Moreover, "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7" also ranked no.33 on "Top Album Sales" and No. 2 on "World Album." Meanwhile, the album "BE," released in November of 2020, ranked No. 61 on "Top Current Album Sales" and No.6 in the "World Album" chart.
In addition, BTS also took the top spot with a large number of songs in "Billboard Global (excluding the US)" and "Billboard Global 200" charts which can measure their global influence. Both charts rank by aggregating streaming and sales in more than 200 countries and regions around the world.

On the other hand, BTS ranked on Billboard charts with their hits. In particular, "My Universe" ranked 17th, "Butter" ranked 25th, "Dynamite" took 36th place, and "Permission to Dance on 80th. Then on the "Billboard Global 200" chart, "My Universe" ranked 26th, "Butter" 42nd, "Dynamite" at 50th, and "Permission to Dance" on 118th.
Meanwhile "My Universe," a song BTS collaborated with Coldplay, ranked 35th on the UK's official latest chart "Official Singles Chart Top 100," up one place from the previous week, and charted in the 17th week.
BTS Fails to Take Home Trophy from Brit Awards
BTS was nominated for the "International Group Category" at the Brit Awards ceremony held at the O2 Arena in London on February 8. But unfortunately, the trophy went to Silk Sonic, a duo formed by Bruno Mars and Anderson Pak.
Expectations for the septet's win raised as they made remarkable achievement in the UK charts. Their hit songs "Butter" and the collaboration song with Coldplay "My Universe" ranked 3rd in the UK's Official Singles Chart Top 100, respectively. In addition, "My Universe" left the charts for two weeks and then reappeared and succeeded in entering the 17th week until the first week of February, and is a long-term box office hit.

Last year, BTS became the first Korean act to enter the international group category. The septet was nominated for the second year in a row, but this time they failed again. BTS, who is on a long vacation, did not attend the awards ceremony.
BTS is set to come back from their long vacation in March where they will resume their entertainment activities starting with a face-to-face concert in Seoul and an upcoming album.
