BTS' 'Dope' MV Becomes Septet's 9th Music Video To Reach 700 Million Views
The number of YouTube views of "Dope" music video, from BTS' mini-album "The Most Beautiful Flower pt.1" released in April 2015, exceeded 700 million at 4:37 pm on February 9.
With this, BTS has the ninth music video to reach the mark!
"Dope" is an electronic hip-hop song that unravels the autobiographical story of the BTS members who are devoted to music day and night through lyrics.
The music video stands out with intense colors. It also presents a different attraction with the appearance of BTS members, who transformed into various professionals like police officers, detectives, and office workers, and more.

In particular, the music video for "Dope," which features a strong performance, gathered a lot of attention thanks to the popularity of the "reaction video" that started when it was released.
BTS Fails To Win at the BRIT Awards
BTS was nominated for the British Popular Music Awards ceremony, BRIT Awards, but did not win. This is the septet's second nomination for the International Group category. The winner for the category was the duo Silk Sonic, composed of Bruno Mars and Anderson Pak.
The group was nominated for the first time as a Korean in the international group category since 2021, and because they got another nomination this year, expectations were raised for them. This is because the group entered the official music charts of the UK last year with "Butter" and their collaboration song with Coldplay, "My Universe," ranked in the UK's Official Singles Chart Top 100.
BTS Gets Nominations at the 2022 Korean Music Awards
Last February 9, the Korean Music Awards sponsored by the Korea Creative Content Agency and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, unveiled the nominees for the awards ceremony this year.
The event will be on March 1 at 6 PM (KST), it will be broadcast live through YouTube. In particular, all nominees were selected by experts from the board of the music industry, ranging from members of KCCA to music critics and representatives from different entertainment fields.

BTS got a total of three nominations, two from main categories and one from genre-specific categories. On main categories, the group got a nomination for the "Artist of the Year" and "Song of the Year (with "Butter") categories.
Meanwhile, for the genre-specific categories, BTS got a nomination for the "Best K-Pop Song" with their summer hit song "Butter."
The awards ceremony will be held on the first day of March, there are no updates about the septet's appearance at the 2022 Korea Music Awards yet. But the group will be ending their long vacation in March and they will resume their activities with a face-to-face concert in Seoul.
