#HappyJHOPEday: BTS J-Hope Turns 28 - Here's How ARMYs Around the World are Celebrating His Birthday

BTS J-Hope - who's known as Jung Hoseok in real life and regarded as the "sunshine" of the group - has turned 28 this Feb. 18. And, ARMYs across the globe have a wide array of activities and projects as their gift for the dancing machine.

ARMYs have already set up a lot of billboard ads in South Korea even before BTS J-Hope's birthday came. From different train stations and his former dance academy to locations near the HYBE building, fans made sure to show their love for the idol.

Besides Korea, billboards featuring Hoseok were also seen in Pakistan, Uganda, Mexico City, at the Olympia Mall in Cambodia, and large malls in Kyrgyzstan. He even shines at New York Times Square, where his birthday ad will be displayed until Feb. 19.

BTS' fans have also begun donation drives in J-Hope's name to support children with various needs, particularly those underprivileged kids learning dance and those fighting cancer. Some have also started donation projects to encourage other people to take care of nature and stop animal abuse.

ARMYs in Peru also launched a donation project in celebration of BTS J-Hope's 28th birthday. Their project involves providing oxygen to hospitals. Oxygen is essential at hospitals during this COVID-19 pandemic, hence, fans thought of doing good deeds like the BTS member.

What's more, ARMYs are showcasing their creativity through art installations. They have lit up the streets in South Korea and even displayed an ice sculpture (a TinyTAN J-Hope) in Ukraine, making Hoseok the first artist in the world to have an ice sculpture for his birthday.

BTS J-Hope Reveals 'Bizarre' Birthday Gift from Jin

In related news, the birthday celebration for BTS J-Hope started early thanks to his bandmate Jin.

On Feb. 16, Jin commented on one of Hoseok's Instagram post to wish to greet him happy birthday in advance. He also handed him various presents that are absolutely his style.

BTS Jin first gifted him a box of strawberries and next, he gave him a birthday cake from Billy Angel Cake Company. It's not just any cake as it features a variety of flavors and costs approximately $57. The cake was eventually sold out after J-Hope showed it through his Instagram story.

Finally, the most bizarre gift - and also the most unexpected - that Jin gave to Hoseok is a gold toilet brush, which is from Alessi. According to one tweet, the gold toilet brush retails at 2,200 USD.

Meanwhile, BTS J-Hope held a birthday livestream via Naver V Live to celebrate the occasion with the fans.
