THE BOYZ Q Criticized for Telling Fans to Not Take Pictures of Him in Latest Broadcast
For fans, it is natural to get excited when seeing your favorite celebrity in person, and eventually wanting to take photos and ask for their autograph.
While there are many who don't mind being approached by their fans, there are also those who value their privacy, especially during personal schedules or while on vacations.
The latter is the case for THE BOYZ member, Q, who recently held a Naver V LIVE broadcast back on February 8.
During his V LIVE broadcast, Q took this time to ask fans not to take any photos of him and to act like they don't know him during the group's long-term vacation this February, and adds that he becomes very uncomfortable when fans do those.
While it is a reasonable request on Q's part as he is human, many did not take his request in stride. In fact, people criticized him for asking fans to do such a thing, given that he is "not as well known."

THE BOYZ Q Accused of Copying Big Hit Music's Announcement
Numerous netizens have also accused and pointed out that Q must think that he is on the same level in terms of popularity as BTS, and just copied the announcement BTS' label Big Hit Music released back in December.
After concluding their "Permission to Dance On Stage" concerts in Los Angeles in the United States back in December 2021, BTS went into their second long-term vacation to enjoy their personal time and rest for their upcoming activities in 2022.
Ahead of their vacation, Big Hit Music issued a statement asking fans to refrain from taking photos and coming up to them if they happen to encounter any of the members in public in order for them to enjoy their vacation without any distractions.

Others have also pointed out that Q is only starting to gain recognition among Korean fans after THE BOYZ participated in Mnet's competition program, "Kingdom: Legendary War." Hence, many became bothered with Q's statement.
Some comments from netizens read, "If I was a celebrity, I would be so happy if my fans act as if they know me in public," "I never knew him but he's acting like he is BTS or something," "That is so rude to say to his fans," "The idols who treat their fans well are the ones who last a long time," "If I were an unknown idol, I would be so happy if people are able to recognize me," and "He should be grateful that fans are taking photos of him and acting as if they know him," among others.
