BTS Jungkook's 'Stay Alive' Beats Record of BLACKPINK Lisa's 'LALISA' for Biggest Debut Streams in First Week on Spotify

On Feb. 18, BTS Jungkook's "Stay Alive" has officially debuted on Spotify's Weekly Global Chart as it has completed its first week of release. The song serves as the original soundtrack for BTS' original webtoon "7Fates: CHAKHO."

In the ranking, the webtoon OST lands at No. 10, becoming the only song by a Korean artist inside the top 10 this week. It managed to make it into the top 10 after accumulating a total of 18,807,862 streams (filtered) in its first week on Spotify.

Looking at the other first-week debut streams of K-pop solo songs, "Stay Alive" is just the third in history to surpass 18 million streams, following BLACKPINK Rosé's "On The Ground" and Lisa's "LALISA."

With over 18.8 million streams, BTS Jungkook's "Stay Alive" (prod. by SUGA) has now claimed the record for the biggest first-week debut streams for a K-pop soloist. It has successfully surpassed BLACKPINK Lisa's "LALISA," which amassed 18,455,241 in its first week.

This is a massive achievement for an unpromoted webtoon OST to overtake official solo debuts that had physical albums, music videos and promotions.

In addition to this, the "7Fates: CHAKHO" OST has matched the record of Rosé's "On The Ground" for the highest debut position on Spotify's Weekly Global Chart for a K-pop soloist. Both songs have debuted at No. 10, becoming the only Korean solo songs, so far, to land inside the top 10.

Considering its unfiltered streams in the first week on Spotify, BTS Jungkook's "Stay Alive" (prod. by SUGA) still achieved the biggest first-week debut streams for a K-pop soloist. It garnered 24.85 million streams (unfiltered), beating "On The Ground" which had 23.1 million unfiltered streams.

Congratulations to BTS Jungkook on breaking yet another Spotify record with "Stay Alive"!
