TREASURE's 'THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE' Album Sales Become Group's Highest to Date
On Feb. 19, YG Entertainment released an official statement to announce the cumulative sales of TREASURE's first mini-album "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE" from Feb. 15 to 18.
According to the agency, "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE" has already sold a whopping total of 700,000 copies as of 2 p.m. KST on Feb. 18 around the world. They added that this is TREASURE's highest record for album sales.

YG Entertainment further said, "Looking at the sales ratio by country, more than 20% of the sales are accounted to the United States, surpassing South Korea, Japan, China and other countries in Southeast Asia."
Among the boy group's previous albums, none has reached more than half a million copies in sales. TREASURE only sold 240,000 to 280,000 copies of their three single albums in the first year of their debut.
Moreover, their first full-length album, "THE FIRST STEP: TREASURE EFFECT," which came out in January of last year, sold just about 360,000 copies.

Previously, it was reported that TREASURE's "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE" stock pre-orders have exceeded 600,000 copies, becoming the group's most pre-ordered album. With the mini-album selling 700,000 copies, it looks like they have surpassed the expected total sales.
As a comment to the group's latest achievement, YG Entertainment stated, "It is a part that shows a glimpse of the expansion of TREASURE's global fandom and presence in the music market."
Since it has been only three days since TREASURE's first mini-album was released, it is projected that its sales will continue to increase in the following days. Attention is now focused on whether the group will earn a "million seller" title with just one album.
Congratulations to TREASURE on achieving their highest album sales record with "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE"!
