'Queendom 2' Lineup Revealed - Here Are 6 Female Artists Competing Mnet's Reality Show
On Feb. 21, Mnet took to its official social media accounts to announce the lineup of contestants for "Queendom 2," the second season of its reality show "Queendom" which initially aired in fall 2019.
Early this February, it was reported that the program was finalizing the lineup through meetings with different girl groups, four of which are ITZY, VIVIZ, Brave Girls and Kep1er.
Although it was confirmed that Mnet was in talks with several girl groups, nothing has been decided at that time. Now, the participants have been finalized.

According to Mnet's recent posts, the "Queendom 2" lineup consists of six female artists. And, these singers are none other than Brave Girls, VIVIZ, WJSN, LOONA, Kep1er and Hyolyn (former SISTAR member).
In the first season of "Queendom," there were also five girl groups and one soloist, namely AOA, Lovelyz, MAMAMOO, (G)I-DLE, Oh My Girl and Park Bom (former 2NE1 member).
The producers of "Queendom 2" said, "All six artists have each topped music programs and are iconic K-pop singers. We expect that they will each show their uniqueness and the best stage performances."
Brave Girls debuted in 2011 and rose to stardom only in 2021 after their four-year-old song "Rollin'" caught the attention of netizens through a fan-edit video, which went viral on YouTube.

VIVIZ is the first girl group of Big Planet Made and comprises former GFRIEND members Eunha, SinB and Umji. The trio re-debuted in February 2022 with their first EP "Beam of Prism," following GFRIEND's disbandment in May 2021.
LOONA, a 12-member girl group under Blockberry Creative, debuted in 2018 and has since been breaking their personal records for album sales. They are known for several hits like "Hi High" (2018), "Why Not?" (2020) and "PTT (Paint The Town)."
Meanwhile, WJSN (also known as Cosmic Girls) debuted in 2016 and has released hits like "I Wish" (2017) and "As You Wish" (2019). The 10-member group is known for their cosmic and magic-inspired flair.

Kep1er is a new girl group formed through the survival show "Girls Planet 999." They made their debut this past Jan. 3 with their first mini-album "FIRST IMPACT." The EP set a new record for the highest first-week sales among debut albums by K-pop girl groups.
Finally, Hyolyn initially became popular after she debuted as a member of SISTAR, who is dubbed as the "Summer Queens." She is now a solo artist and her latest release is the digital single "Layin' Low" in January.

When and Where to Watch 'Queendom 2'?
Like the past three editions of Mnet's survival show series, "Queendom 2" will air on Mnet's channel in South Korea and will be broadcasted online via Mnet's YouTube channel with English subtitles. It will also be available for viewing on the TVING app.
"Queendom 2" will premiere every Thursday starting on March 31 at 9:20 p.m. KST, with Girls' Generation Taeyeon as the host. It will air for a total of 10 weeks.
