On February 22, Karina, the leader and face of aespa, revealed her recent status through Lysn's DearU Bubble.
Karina, who's been allowing the leakage of her photos from the private messaging platform, shared her new look to Mys (aespa fandom).
In the her photos, she looked at the camera with a coy look and light makeup. Even with her natural-look makeup, her distinct features still stood out. Her haircut also became a hot topic, and she received praises for her overall visuals.
When the "Next Level" singer's photos circulated online, fans immediately left explosive comments.
"It's really pretty," "The more I look at you, the prettier you get," "The mid-short hair is so pretty, it's crazy," "This is an emergency," "I can only admire you," some commenters wrote.
aespa Resumes Communication with Fans, NingNing Still on Hiatus
Meanwhile, Mys expressed their delight as aespa members returned to SNS after they stopped activities in light of NingNing's controversial support to Chinese players during Winter Olympics.
On February 21, Karina said through bubble, "I really missed you so much. It was hard. Are you not sick? Where did you get sick? You don't have it, right? Are you all healthy? I was going crazy because I missed you (so much), too," expressing affection to fans.

On the same day, Winter also said, "Hi, it's been a while. I've been eating well and staying healthy. "I missed you."
Lastly, Giselle also sent a photo of her recent status.
This is their first communication with fans about two weeks after NingNing's controversy. She hasn't returned to social media.
Upon hearing the news, fans responded in various ways, such as "They resume communication as soon as the Olympics is over," "The agency seems to have stopped NingNing, (communication)" "How long until NingNing return?" and "Why did you stop other members' activities?"
NingNing was criticized for supporting a Chinese short-track speed skater who won a gold medal through bubble, amidst a Korean player claiming that they cheated the race.
Since then, NingNing was criticized by Korean netizens and was frowned upon even more when she was mentioned as one of the Chinese idols who don't do Korean big bow.
