Weeekly to Become Forerunner of 'Girl Groups Battle' in March
Amid the transition of season from winter to spring, girl groups and female idols signaled their ambition to reign as "Spring Queen" by announcing major comebacks and releases this March 2022.
On March 7, Weeekly will take the baton as the first candidate for the "Spring Queen" title through the release of their first single album, "Play Game: AWAKE."
Their new song "Ven para" depicts the message of breaking through the darkness with confidence, moving forward without doubt. It is expected to signal the girl group's new era, breaking away from their positive, bubbly "high-teen" concept since debut.
(G)I-DLE To Release New Album, First Comeback Without Soojin
On March 14, (G)I-DLE will release their first full-length album "I NEVER DIE," which will mark their first album in about a year and two months since January 2021.
The album also drew attention as this will also be the group's first return to the music scene after a five-member reorganization since Soojin's withdrawal.
Anticipation is high for the songs as well, as it was initially reported that all members participated in writing and composing all of it, including the title song, "TOMBOY."
Brave Girls, Red Velvet, Oh My Girl Vie For 'Spring Queen' Title
Brave Girls will also kick-off to add another title with their new album. "THANK YOU" will also be released on March 14, exactly a year since the group experienced reverse-driving popularity due to their song, "Rollin."

Along with Brave Girls, Red Velvet, also known for their colorful and bright releases, will introduce festive concept amid spring through their new mini-album "ReVe Festival 2022 - "Feel My Rhythm" on March 21.
Lastly, OH MY GIRL is also scheduled to make a comeback with a new album in March.
Following "DUN DUN DANCE," K-pop enthusiasts are focused on the new syndrome the girl group will create this 2022.
Female Soloists Park Bom, MAMAMOO Solar to Join Battle With New Releases
Aside from girl groups, the comebacks of female solo artists also attracted attention.
On March 11, Park Bom will release a new song in about a year with a digital single, "Flower." MeloMance Kim Minseok participated and worked with Park Bom through this song.
Last but not least, MAMAMOO Solar will release her first mini-album "容: FACE (Yong: Face)" on March 16. It will be her first mini-album and return to the stage as a solo artist in a year and 11 months since her single album was released in April 2020.
