Super Junior Eunhyuk Confesses Having Mixed Reactions on KWANGYA - Here's Why

In the section of MBC FM4U's "Hope Song at Noon by Kim Shinyoung" (hereinafter Jung Hee) which aired on March 4, members of Super Junior, who made a comeback in a year with the special single "The Road: Winter for Spring," appeared as guests.

During the broadcast, DJ Kim Shin Young opened up the topic in regards to KWANGYA, SM Entertainment's worldview.

"Kyuhyun asked about KWANGYA, so I don't know either," referring to when TVXQ Max Changmin appeared in the radio show in the past.

The male idol then replied, "It's a great place, I know now about it. We have to move on to KWANGYA."

"Choi Changmin said this, 'I'm aiming for the position of director in the second half of the year. So even if I don't know KWANGYA, I'll just go in it'," Kim Shin Young added.

Leeteuk then jokingly replied, "(To get) the position of director is to find out where to move. It's the season to move."

As they went on about the topic, the leader of the group claimed that he likes the SM worldview, and praised Chief Producer Lee Soo Man for creating the concept amazingly.

While most members and even Kim agreed, Eunhyuk shared his bitter feelings towards the concept and honestly revealed why.

"It's a well-made worldview," the male idol initially said. "But didn't they put in too many singers that weren't there?" drawing waves of laughter.

He further complained, "If I do, I follow, but my head hurts so much. There are many students and youth who are interested in K-pop that will have a headache when they study. I don't have much time to study, but it takes time to study (the concept)."

Lastly, Eunhyuk pleaded, "Or please explain it to us in a simple way."

In response, Shindong who was also invested in KWANGYA defended the worldview by saying, 'What many people misunderstand is you do not need to study, but to learn it naturally."

Super Junior Hints at Contract Renewal With SM Entertainment

As the broadcast went on, the members continued to talk about various things topics, TMI, until they mentioned Super Junior's contract renewal season with the agency.

In particular, the members last renewed their contract with SM in 2011, and after about 10 years, the members revealed that they are considering seriously whether to renew contract, particularly Leeteuk and Eunhyuk, after being selected as members who seem to have difficult conditions to renew their contracts.

Lee Teuk confessed that the members were in the renewal season. "It's the first time I'm talking about renewing my contract in 'Jung Hee'. I'll renew my contract well and have a celebration party here," attesting to fans he will continue to be in Super Junior.

Eunhyuk also expressed his determination to renew the contract, saying, "Shouldn't we take a closer look?" after Shindong revealed that the two members are serious about studying the contract clauses.
