ADOR Girl Group Update - CEO Min Hee Jin Shares When They Will Debut This 2022
On March 2, American entertainment news outlet Variety released its annual list of "Women That Have Made an Impact in Global Entertainment," and one of the females included is Min Hee Jin, who is leading the independent label, ADOR, under HYBE.
Variety issues a list of the most influential women in the entertainment industry every year, in commemoration of International Women's Day on March 8.

Regarding the reason for including ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin in the list, Variety emphasized her contribution as a pioneer in reinventing the value of K-pop artists.
The American media outlet wrote, "She was credited with reinventing the concept of 'concepts,' and a new era of girl groups with Girls' Generation, then SHINee and EXO. ADOR is preparing to launch a new girl group in 2022."
In response to this, Min Hee Jin thanked Variety for choosing her and also shared an update concerning the debut of ADOR's girl group.
The CEO said that she is currently focusing on planning and producing the idol group. She continued that they are slated to introduce a "unique girl group that can show new tastes and images" in the third quarter of this year (July to September).

The debut of ADOR's girl group has been anticipated since HYBE established the independent label in November of last year and appointed Min Hee Jin as the CEO.
Previously, it was announced that the new girl group will comprise members recruited during HYBE's 2019 "Plus Global Audition." Hee Jin also revealed during her "You Quiz on the Block" appearance this past December that she has prepared their debut song two years ago.
To date, HYBE only has one girl group, fromis_9, which is currently managed by their sub-label Pledis Entertainment (which is also home to "quadruple million sellers" SEVENTEEN). So that makes ADOR's girl group the company's second one.
About ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin - Why She Joined Big Hit and Left SM Entertainment
Back in July 2019, Min Hee Jin joined Big Hit Entertainment (now called HYBE) as the Chief Brand Officer. Before moving to the agency, she was the creative director and board entertainment at SM Entertainment, where she spent her 17 years.
Min parted ways with SM Entertainment in late 2018 and has since been receiving offers from different domestic and overseas companies. But, she decided to join Big Hit as she and this agency share similarities in their determination to make changes in the entertainment industry, their vision to widen the industry, and the future they see for the industry.

During her appearance on "You Quiz on the Block" on Dec. 1 of last year, Min Hee Jin explained why she had departed from SM Entertainment. She revealed that she was "extremely exhausted" at the time she was promoted to director.
Now that she's ADOR CEO, Hee Jin is working hard to prepare the label's first girl group. On Dec. 5, she said that she will be careful on cultural appropriation for the idol group.
At that time, a fan sent a message to Min to give her information about cultural appropriation, which often becomes a controversy in comebacks of K-pop artists. Hee Jin responded that she will study what was sent to her and be cautious about it.
