BLACKPINK on Spotify: Quartet Becomes Girl Group in History with Most Songs Reaching 400 Million Streams
On March 5, YG Entertainment officially announced that BLACKPINK's "Ice Cream" (with Selena Gomez) has surpassed 400 million streams on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming service.
"Ice Cream" is the quartet's fifth song and second collaboration song to reach the mark. Their other tracks that previously achieved this feat are "How You Like That," "Kill This Love," "DDU-DU DDU-DU," and "Kiss and Make Up" (with Dua Lipa).

At the time "DDU-DU DDU-DU" hit the 400-million mark in July of last year, BLACKPINK tied with Little Mix as the girl group with the most songs to do so.
Now that they have a total of five songs, BLACKPINK is now the girl group in history with the most tracks that have exceeded 400 million streams on Spotify.
In the K-pop scene, the "Lovesick Girls" act is the only female group with at least one song to accumulate the said number of streams.

"Ice Cream" follows a cute and refreshing concept that the quartet tried for the first time, and drew attention for its bright atmosphere and captivating melody.
To recall, BLACKPINK's "Ice Cream" (with Selena Gomez) swept the top spots of iTunes Song charts in a total of 38 different countries as of Aug. 29, one day after its release. These countries include the Philippines, Poland, Oman, Qatar, Australia, Sweden, Brunei, Hungary, Taiwan, and more.
This mega-hit song also charted high in countries like the United States and the United Kingdom, ranking No. 2 and No. 3 in these places, respectively.
Moreover, "Ice Cream" became the highest-charting song by a girl group and a female Korean artist overall in the history of Billboard Hot 100 after scoring No. 13.

Three BLACKPINK Music Videos Included in List of Most-Viewed K-pop Group MVs for Each Year since 2000
In other news, three of BLACKPINK music videos made it to the list of most-watched MVs of K-pop groups for each year since 2000.
First, BLACKPINK's "BOOMBAYAH" MV was the most viewed in 2016 after gaining a whopping total of 1,374,732,909 views on YouTube. This is an impressive figure considering that the girl group just made their debut in that year and with the said song.

Another entry of the quartet is "DDU-DU DDU-DU," which became one of their hit songs. The music video for this track became the most-viewed K-pop group MV in 2018 after accumulating 1,822,683,009 views on YouTube.
BLACKPINK also set the record for the most-watched K-pop group MV in 2019. The "Kill This Love" MV garnered a total of 1,529,157,163 views on YouTube.
On the list, BLACKPINK is the female group with the most entries (3) and followed by Girls' Generation with two MVs and Fin.K.L. and 2NE1 with one MV each.
