Is TREASURE the Next 'Live Vocal King'? 4th Gen Group Attracts Attention for MR Removed Videos
In K-pop, there are top-tier male groups known for their live vocals like SHINee, 2AM, TVXQ, BTOB, HIGHLIGHT, EXO, and more where all or most members are worthy of the main vocalist position.
Among fourth-gen groups, TREASURE is attracting attention for sounding like they "eat CDs for breakfast" for their live performances, showcasing their potential as the next "Live Vocal Kings."
In particular, the 12-member group made their comeback on February 15 through their first EP, "The Second Step: Chapter One," and its title track, "Jikjin."
Since then, the group has been active on YouTube, music shows and radio broadcasts.

As soon as new contents of TREASURE were uploaded, their videos received explosive reactions, particularly their clips where they showed off their live vocals.
In fact, their performance at KBS Cool FM‘s STATION Z and BTOB's Kiss the Radio" earned 1M views, just nine days after release.
According to viewers, TREASURE possesses solid live skills among others, the foundation of their strong performances.
Their MR Removed videos from music shows particularly received praises, captivating fans' ears for the perfect and stable voices of the entire group.
With this, the group received massive praised, "Their potential during 'Treasure Box' has finally exploded properly," "TREASURE's live performance will be reevaluated starting from this activity," and "They showed complete performances in music shows. For radio shows, they proved their crystal clear and attractive tones."
On top of that, TREASURE's teamwork was also commended. The members can show and maximize their individual charms without overpowering each other.
TREASURE's Popularity Increases Following First EP Release
With the release of their first EP, TREASURE signaled their bright career with increasing popularity not only to domestic fans but global fans. Aside from recognitions from social media, the "I Love You" singers also achieved success on charts.
In addition to the title song "JIKJIN," the stage of "U" has been unveiled for the first time through music broadcasts, lighting is also being made on other songs in the album.
Immediately after "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE" was released, it topped the worldwide album chart, ranking first in 30 iTunes regions. As of writing, the album also sold more than 700,000 copies, not to mention its title song "JIKJIN" topped Japan's major music site rankings, and succeeded in entering the U.S. Billboard Global 200 chart.
Other songs that are receiving favorable responses from fans are "Darari" and "U," where the former surpassed 12.8 million streams on Spotify.
Meanwhile, "U," celebrates its reversed popularity on Bugs, one of Korea's major domestic music sites after re-entering the top of the chart. It was a glimpse of the great interest and favorability of K-pop fans, the main audience of music shows.
