BTS RM was recently seen getting this currently No. 1 trending item in Korea. What is it?
BTS RM Seen Asking for More of THIS #1 Trending Product in Korea
On March 8, the "Butter" rapper took to his Instagram stories to share several photos of "Pokémon Bread."
"Pokémon Bread" is an iconic pastry series initially launched during the 1990s and consists of seven different editions. This past Feb. 24, manufacturer SPC Samlip Corporation re-produced the item in convenience stores across Korea.
This bread is giving nostalgia and is sparking the interest of those in their 20s and 30s, who grew up collecting the "Pokémon Bread."
Through his Instagram stories, BTS RM expressed how much he want to get more of the trending item.
In one story, he wrote, "Please sell more T_T," and in the two other stories, he wrote, "I raided 8 convenience stores" and "Please make 10x more Choco Rolls and Ghastly breads please..."
As it is currently the No. 1 trending item in Korea, it is no surprise that convenience stores quickly run out of stock of the pastry series.

Not to mention, in the first week of re-launch, more than 1.5 million bread were already sold throughout the country. This total number is reported to be six times higher than the average sales of SPC Samlip Bakery's new products that were released at the same time as the Pokémon bread last month.
Additionally, more than 4,000 posts featuring nostalgic items were posted on social media on the first day of launch. Some even started lining up at dawn in front of convenience stores.

People are visiting stores one after the other just to get their hands on this iconic "Pokémon Bread." While the pastry inside is tasty, it was not the main attraction but the random Pokémon sticker that comes with it.
In fact, at the time it was first launched during the 1990s, kids were so eager to look for the rarest stickers and collect them all, to the point where they discarded a great amount of bread just to obtain the sticker they wanted.
Among the seven different editions, the Team Rocket Choco Roll is accounted for a whopping 40 percent of sales today, with the hot sauce, and cheesecake versions also seeing popularity.
