The former After School member later revised the caption in her post to clear up the misunderstanding. Rather than saying "goodbye" to her life, she was welcoming a new chapter of life this year.
"Hello to my new and highly-anticipated life in 2022~ Ha he ha ha ha," Lizzy wrote.
She also said, "I think I caused a misunderstanding with my initial caption, which was interpreted completely different from what I mean." She went on to explain that the "Little Mermaid" character Ariel is her favorite and that she chose to post her photo because "she's cute."
"I'm sorry for causing concern for no reason. Thank you," the idol concluded.
Lizzy, also known as Park Soo Young, made her debut with After School in 2010 and left the group in 2018. She has since been focusing on her career as an actress.
