Lee Chaeryeong is already popular even before she made her debut as an ITZY member. She first stepped into the Korean entertainment industry as a participant in the reality competition TV show "K-pop Star 3" in November 2013, together with her older sister Lee Chaeyeon. Although they were eliminated from the program, they both joined JYP Entertainment as trainees.

Moreover, ITZY's "Crazy in Love" achieved the group's highest first-week sales on the Hanteo Chart to date. It sold more than 250,000 copies from Sept. 24 to 30, 2021. It is also their fastest-selling work in Korea, surpassing 330,000 sales in just one month after its release.
