Hwasa also talked to her father on the phone, who revealed that, "Hwasa was bold when she was young, and even brought home a trophy from the oratorical competition." Her father added that he even became worried Hwasa would make a mistake due to her rash personality, which caused laughter among the cast.

The three then started talking about Hwasa's career as a singer. "It has been eight years [since I debuted]. I don't think I am ashamed because I think I gave my best. However, it still feels like I am incomplete. I crave to do better," Hwasa expressed.

Talking about Hwasa's solo track "Maria," Lee Sun Hee reveals she did not know the meaning behind the song when she first heard it.

"I just thought that it was a common lyric written by younger lyricists these days. But when I looked at the lyrics in detail, I realized that it was expressing such a painful story so casually in a way it expresses the emotion of people now in their twenties," Lee Sun Hee explained.

Hearing this, Hwasa revealed a common misconception people have about her, saying, "Many people dismissed me as a bad person, saying it's because I wear revealing clothes and have thicker makeup than others."

She added that she wrote "Maria" thinking about "I will give them tears" and "Do I want these people to cry or be hurt?"

Hwasa Reveals She's 'Rebellious at Heart'

When Hwasa was asked what kind of stories she wants to talk about lately, Hwasa shares how she is thinking about the problems the world is facing in her own way.

"Like, how I am rebellious and it boils my heart. Or how I am beautiful the way I am, but I don't like myself being swept away without realizing it in a pursuit of physical appearance. I don't know a lot, but I am full of rebellion," Hwasa said with a smile.

Lee Sun Hee added that Hwasa still has countless stories to express, and hopes that there will be many good female artists like her.

"Only then can Hwasa and other juniors, who are unique in their own way and whose music grows deeper with age. Even if it doesn't go well, I hope you don't get tired and continue fighting for it," Lee Sun Hee told Hwasa.
