Woo Jiyoon debuted in April 2016 in the duo BOL4 (also known as Bolbbalgan4). She then left the musical act in April 2020.
Her initial agency, Shofar Music, said at that time that Jiyoon decided to leave due to personal reasons about her future career.
However, there were several speculations about her departure. One allegation was the conflict between her and her bandmate and longtime friend, Ahn Jiyoung. This rumor seemed to be true considering the statements that the two members released via their personal Instagram accounts.
Since she departed from BOL4, Woo Jiyoon has been releasing digital singles as an independent artist, such as "O:circle," ":Colon" and "Ha:f."
Woo Jiyoon's Last Music Release as a BOL4 Member
Ahead of her departure in April 2020, Woo Jiyoon made her last comeback as a Bolbbalgan4 member in September 2019. The duo released their fifth mini-album titled "Two Five."
"Two Five" has a total of six songs including the title track "Workaholic." "Workaholic" quickly soared to No. 1 on several Korean music charts after its release on Sept. 10 at 6 p.m. KST.
At 9:30 p.m. KST on the same day, the title song took No. 1 on almost all major real-time charts in Korea, including MelOn, Bugs, Mnet, Genie, Soribada, and Naver.

Seven days later, BOL4's "Workaholic" eventually achieved a perfect all-kill, which became a rare feat for Korean songs at that time because of the changes that some music charts calculate their rankings.
It scored No. 1 on the real-time and daily charts of MelOn, Bugs, Genie, Naver, Soribada, and Mnet; FLO's real-time chart; and the real-time and weekly chart of iChart. With this, "Workaholic" became the second K-pop song of 2019 to attain a perfect all-kill.
Before BOL4's song, the other track that managed to score a perfect all-kill was BTS' "Boy With Luv" featuring Halsey in April 2019.
