Dongyo Entertainment Denies School Bullying Allegations Surrounding DONGKIZ Jaechan

Recently on March 14, DONGKIZ member and "Semantic Error" star, Jaechan, had become the latest target for school bullying allegations. Netizens on Twitter accused the idol-actor of smoking electronic cigarettes at school and harassing female students. A netizen also shared graduation photos of Jachaen in elementary and middle school to support their claims.

Following the allegations, DONGKIZ's agency, Dongyo Entertainment, released a statement denying the school bullying allegations surrounding Jaechan.

"We would like to thank fans who always support and cherish DONGKIZ.

We would like to express our position regarding the false information and rumors surrounding Jaechan that has recently been shared through online communities.

1. The claims in the post are not true.

After the post was published, we went through the process of verifying with the article personally and checking with his acquaintances, and confirmed that the claims in the post are not true.

Since the relevant issue is a socially important matter, our agency has already gone through the process verifying with the representatives of the school regarding [Jaechan's] social and school life since before his debut, and confirmed that there were no problems.

2. We are currently waiting for the results in accordance with legal procedures.

From the moment that the post was published, the agency have been collecting all the reference materials. As of March 4, 2022, we have filed a lawsuit for cyber-libel and the suspicion of slander through the spreading of false information, and we have been continuously monitoring the information that has been shared since then.

In addition, as of today (March 14), the investigator in charge has been assigned and the investigation is currently ongoing. We are informing you that the agency is monitoring the investigation in real time in accordance with the legal procedures.

In the future, the agency will continue to monitor the false information and malicious comments related to all of our artists, including Jaechan, and will take strong legal action without any settlement or leniency. We ask that you report to protect@dongyoent.com in the case that you find malicious posts regarding Dongyo Entertainment's artists.

We ask for your generous understanding for causing concern to fans due to the delayed announcement in order to cooperate with the investigation agency by securing the identity of the defendant, as well as other additional information.

We once again would like to state that the false information and rumors related to our artists under Dongyo Entertainment that have been shared are not true, and we hope that there will be no misunderstandings or confusion among fans due to these information.

From now on, Dongyo Entertainment will not sit still while watching a flower that has just begun to bloom to be unfairly trampled on from a place of anonymity.
