About MOMOLAND and the Departure of Yeonwoo, Taeha, and Daisy
MOMOLAND was formed through the 2016 survival show "Finding Momoland," which MLD Entertainment created. The original lineup of debuting trainees included Ahin, Hyebin, Nancy, JooE, Nayun, Yeonwoo, and Jane.
MOMOLAND officially debuted in November 2016 with their first EP "Welcome to Momoland." The mini-album consists of six songs including the title track "JJan! Koong! Kwang!"

In March 2017, Daisy and Taeha were simultaneously added to MOMOLAND, making it a nine-member girl group. They dropped their first single album "Wonderful Love" the next month, marking their first music release as a nonet.
MOMOLAND's popularity suddenly rose in 2018 with their smash hit "BBoom BBoom." Despite the incredible success of this track, the group did not gain further fame in the past few years. They even lost three key members.
In November 2019, it was announced that the group's main visual Yeonwoo and main vocalist Taeha will leave the team. The agency explained that Yeonwoo will focus on her career as an actress (under MLD Entertainment), while Taeha will "make a new start at a new place."
At that time, MLD Entertainment was still in discussions with the group's main dancer Daisy regarding her exclusive contract.

However, MOMOLAND Daisy shocked many when she claimed in January 2020 that "Finding Momoland" was rigged and that the label has been preventing her from resuming promotions since May 2019.
The company denied these allegations and took legal action against her. In October 2021, it was reported that the singer won the case regarding her unpaid wages. It was revealed the following month that the company filed an appeal.
During an Instagram live this past Feb. 8, Daisy personally announced that she has left MLD Entertainment and has not spoken with her former members since 2019.

Former MOMOLAND Yeonwoo
As mentioned above, former MOMOLAND Yeonwoo decided to transition from an idol to an actress, but she remained signed with MLD Entertainment until 2021.
In October 2021, it was reported that the actress was talking to sign with a new agency, particularly 9ato Entertainment. It was said that she has been receiving multiple offers after her contract with MLD expired.

On Jan. 19 this year, Yeonwoo officially moved to 9ato Entertainment, which is home to Han So Hwee, Yoon Seo Ah, Jung Il Woo, and more.
She is slated to appear on MBC's upcoming drama "The Golden Spoon." This is based on a webtoon drama of the same title. DIA Chaeyeon and BTOB Sungjae will also star in the series.
Former MOMOLAND Taeha
Following her departure from the group, former MOMOLAND Taeha opened her personal Instagram account and YouTube channel. She continues to communicate with the fans through these platforms. She also uploads cover songs to YouTube. Additionally, she now has a TikTok account (tx_xhx).
Former MOMOLAND Daisy
After winning a legal case against MLD Entertainment, Daisy launched her personal Instagram account this past Feb. 4. She also opened a TikTok (@daisiesforyu) and a Twitter (@_daisiesforyu) account. She has been active on social media.
Rumors have it that former MOMOLAND Daisy is currently enrolled in a university, although her course was not specified.
