(G)I-DLE's 'Liar' Lyrics Spark Dating Rumor Involving Jeon Soyeon and Changmo
On March 14, (G)I-DLE dropped their first full-length album "I NEVER DIE." It consists of eight songs including the title track "TOMBOY."
Besides "TOMBOY," the B-side song "Liar" is also gaining attention. Some of its lyrics seemed to be targeting Korean rapper Changmo.

On March 15, Jeon Soyeon made headlines for her rap lyrics for (G)I-DLE's "Liar." She participated in writing the rap lyrics.
The rap lines say, "I followed you, but your mom said she didn't like that. Tell her that I didn't like it either."
"You tell me to mind my own business. Look at that attitude."
"Say it to my face, not behind my back, even though you're not even here."
"Before treating your next lover like a baby, get your spelling right first, kid (aiya)."
The most interesting part in the lyrics is the one that states, "Get your spelling right first, kid (aiya)."
It is speculated that this line is directed to Changmo, who was previously criticized for his misspelling on social media back in April 2021.
Additionally, "Aiya" is the title of one of the songs in Changmo's 2016 album "Time to Earn Money 3."

Netizens left comments such as "The lyrics are clearly targeting Changmo."
"It would be awesome if they dated."
"Did (G)I-DLE Soyeon date Changmo?"
"Why do I feel like the lyrics are aimed at Changmo?"
"Soyeon and Changmo? They don't match at all," and more.
As of writing, Jeon Soyeon has not yet confirmed nor denied whether (G)I-DLE's "Liar" rap lyrics are directed at Changmo and if she really dated him.

In other news, (G)I-DLE's "I NEVER DIE" has achieved commercial success. The full-length album has swept the No. 1 spot on iTunes Album charts in many countries around the world.
On the same day as its release, "I NEVER DIE" debuted at No. 1 on iTunes in at least 24 countries, including India, Singapore, Brazil, Taiwan, Colombia, Vietnam, Portugal, Philippines, Malaysia, and more.

The eight-track album also entered the top 10 of the US iTunes at No. 8. It even landed at No. 1 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart and No. 6 on the European iTunes Album Chart.
(G)I-DLE's "I NEVER DIE" reached No. 1 on iTunes K-pop Album Chart in 11 different regions, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and Thailand among others.
Meanwhile, the title song "TOMBOY" also attained instant popularity. It surpassed 10 million views on YouTube within 16 hours of release. It even ranked second on YouTube's chart of trending music videos worldwide.
