Read on to know how many preorders were counted so far.
Stray Kids' 'ODDINARY' Surpasses 'NOEASY' to Become the JYPE Album with Highest Number of Pre-Orders
On March 17, JYP Entertainment announced the cumulative pre-orders for Stray Kids' "ODDINARY," which is scheduled to drop on the 18th.
The agency said that "ODDINARY" has exceeded 1.3 million pre-orders as of the morning of March 16, two days before its official release.
Stray Kids has now broken their own best record in terms of pre-order count. Previously, their second full-length album "NOEASY" reached 930,000 pre-orders on Aug. 23 of last year. This goes to show that they achieved an increase of more than 400,000 units, demonstrating the expansion of their fandom.

In addition to this, Stray Kids' "ODDINARY" also now becomes the most pre-ordered JYPE album in history and the first and only album by a fourth-generation to surpass one million pre-orders. These two records were previously held by their own album "NOEASY."
If the number of "ODDINARY" pre-orders will turn into physical sales, the mini-album would earn Stray Kids another "million seller" title and would make them a double-million seller as "NOEASY" has previously sold over one million copies.
Furthermore, Stray Kids would surpass six million copies on Gaon if the mini-album sells one million copies. It would make them the sixth best-selling artist on the platform.

With two more days to go before the album's official release, it is anticipated that Stray Kids' "ODDINARY" pre-orders would further increase.
Meanwhile, the title of the album is a combination of two English words: Odd and Ordinary. It contains the message that even we are ordinary, we all have a strange side.
"ODDINARY" is Stray Kids' first mini-album in two years and three months since their fifth mini-album "Clé: LEVANTER" came out in December 2019. It will feature a total of seven songs including the title track "MANIAC."
Stray Kids' "ODDINARY" is due out on March 18 at 1 p.m. KST along with the "MANIAC" music video.
