Minyoung was one of the 6MIX members to compete on "SIXTEEN" and was the only 6MIX member not to debut. After the program ended, she left JYP Entertainment. She remained out of the spotlight until 2021 when she opened a YouTube channel.
There, she revealed she is working a regular job but also makes music as a hobby. In November 2021, she released the song "Midnight" with LEW and Dollarsignpark.
