Survival competition programs continue the fever of "Street Woman Fighter." The show, which ended in October last year, created syndrome-level popularity. This proves the power of the contest program inside and outside the country.
Following this, materials limited to auditions for debuting K-pop and idol singers have also been diversified. Many production teams are attracting viewers' curiosity by incorporating various formats, such as dance, singer-songwriter, and band into the program.

First on the list is JTBC's "Showdown." It is a breakdance competition that will premiere on March 18.
In this show, top-tier breakdancers and crews from South Korea will compete in a fiery battle to determine the No. 1 breakdancer in the country.
Some of the biggest crews that will join include Fusion MC, Jinjo Crew, Rivers Crew, Gamblers, FlowXL, and more.

Mnet, one of the largest television channels in South Korea, will also introduce various survival shows.
Their lineup will start from the broadcast of "Queendom 2" on March 31. This is a reality survival show between already established K-pop groups including Brave Girls, Hyolyn, VIVIZ, LOONA, WJSN and Kep1er.
Next is "Street Man Fighter," the male spin-off of "Street Woman Fighter." The show is reportedly set to air in the summer and will focus on the dance genre. It is anticipated that a male idol will also join the show, just like former IZ*ONE Chaeyeon in the female version.
Mnet x HYBE also decided to produce a new girl group through the second season of the survival program, "I-LAND" in the second half of the year. The girl group will be a junior group of ENHYPEN, which was produced from the show's first season.
