Allissa Shin Says She, Her Loved Ones Are Getting Threats

On Friday, March 18, Allissa Shin uploaded a lengthy story on her Instagram Stories that shocked her followers.

She said that some people have been threatening her because of her resemblance to BLACKPINK Rosé.

Even though it was not Shin's fault that she shares similarities with the K-pop idol, some fans of BLACKPINK Rosé still became upset with her.

She said that things got out of hand after she found out that a young girl was asked to harm herself just to get Shin's information and attention.

Shin explained that it also got to a point where she was no longer upset at being called a Rosé copycat.

Instead, it is the fact that her haters have been urging her to hurt herself. They have also been threatening her loved ones.

The Korean-American model later clarified that no one has harmed her contrary to the rumors that have been going around.

But she confirmed that she had already taken matters into her hands before someone could get hurt.

Allissa Shin Says She's a Victim of Doxxing

In a follow-up post, the model used the term "doxxing," which refers to a person who tries to get private information from someone else.

This includes a person's address, contact numbers, and more.

According to Shin, those that have been threatening her have also been doxxing her. As such, she already reported them to the cops.

Allissa Shin Accused of Capitalizing on BLACKPINK Rosé Resemblance

After all, it did not take long before some BLINKs accused the influencer of capitalizing on BLACKPINK Rosé's popularity.

Shin clarified that this is not what she is doing. After all, it is not her fault that she looks like BLACKPINK Rosé.

If she would be asked personally, she would say that they do not look alike.

BLACKPINK Rosé Has Doppelgangers

As of writing, BLACKPINK Rosé has not yet reacted to the threats that her lookalike has been getting. But Shin is not the only person that has been dubbed as the K-pop idol's doppelganger.

In the past, BLACKPINK Rosé was also compared to K-pop singer and actress Dayoung. She was also likened to a Filipina actress named Kisses Delavin.
