Stray Kids' "ODDINARY" Attains Highest First Week Sales of Any K-pop Album Released in 2022
On March 18, Stray Kids made their highly-anticipated comeback with their new sixth mini-album "ODDINARY" which features a total of seven songs including the title track "MANIAC."
On March 24, the first-week sales tracking of "ODDINARY" has come to an end. Its total amount reached 853,021 copies. This is the first time that the group surpassed 800,000 copies in just the first week after the album's release.

Notably, the mini-album managed to sell 200,000 copies more than the group's previous album "NOEASY," which came out in August of last year.
"NOEASY" only sold 641,589 copies from Aug. 23 to 29. This means Stray Kids' "ODDINARY" has broken the group's personal record for first-week sales on the Hanteo Chart.
With over 850,000 copies sold, "ODDINARY" is now the K-pop album with the highest first-week sales released in 2022. It surpassed TREASURE's "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE," which sold 539,279 copies from Feb. 15 to 21.

Stray Kids' "ODDINARY" also now joins TREASURE's "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE" and ENHYPEN's "DIMENSION: ANSWER" as the only 2022 K-pop album to surpass half a million sales in the first week.
Furthermore, the seven-track mini-album now has the highest first-week sales in 2022 among albums by JYP artists, beating NMIXX's "AD MARE" which sold 227,399 copies from Feb. 22 to 28.

On top of that, Stray Kids' "ODDINARY" has also broken the record for the highest first-week sales of fourth-generation groups on Hanteo in history.
Selling more than 850,000 copies, "ODDINARY" has surpassed ENHYPEN's "DIMENSION: DILEMMA," which only sold 818,716 copies from Oct. 12 to 18, 2021.

"ODDINARY" also now joins "DIMENSION: DILEMMA" as the only fourth-generation album to date to reach more than 800,000 sales in just the first week of its release.
The other highest first-week sales records among fourth-generation K-pop groups are set by ATEEZ's "ZERO: FEVER PART 3" (665,350 copies), Stray Kids' "NOEASY" (641,589 copies), and TXT's "The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE" (630,563 copies).

Two Stray Kids Members Recover from COVID-19
In other news, JYP Entertainment has announced that Han's and Changbin's mandatory quarantine periods had been completed today. Starting from March 25, they are free to resume their postponed activities.
Last week, all Stray Kids members underwent self-quarantine on the day of their comeback after Changbin tested positive for COVID-19 on March 18. In the succeeding days, his bandmates Han, Seungmin, Bang Chan, Lee Know, and Hyunjin were also diagnosed with the virus.
Han and Changbin are the first two Stray Kids members to recover from coronavirus.
